About Us
CalcMyCard was built with one goal: give people a clear, accurate, completely free way to understand exactly what their credit card debt costs them — without a login, a sales pitch, or a sign-up form.
Why we built this
Most people who search for a credit card interest calculator aren’t shopping for a new card — they’re trying to understand a number on a real statement, or figure out how to get out of debt faster. We built CalcMyCard around that specific need: twelve focused calculators, each covering one real question people have about credit card interest, minimum payments, balance transfers, and payoff strategy.
How our calculators work
Every calculator on this site uses the same interest mechanics most U.S. credit card issuers use internally — a monthly or daily periodic rate applied to your balance, run forward month by month. Nothing you enter is stored, transmitted, or shared; the math happens entirely in your browser. See our Methodology page for the full technical detail.
Our editorial standards
Our guides are written and reviewed against publicly available data from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and Federal Reserve interest rate statistics. We update figures as new data becomes available and correct errors as soon as they’re identified. See our Editorial Policy for details.
What we’re not
CalcMyCard is not a credit card issuer, lender, credit union, or financial advisor. We don’t sell credit cards, and our calculators don’t recommend specific card products. The content on this site is for general educational purposes and isn’t personalized financial advice — for decisions specific to your situation, consider talking to a qualified financial advisor or credit counselor.
